Meet Kenzie Vaughn | Owner of Amazing Kids Photography
For me, photography has always been more than just taking pictures — it's been a part of my story for as long as I can remember.

I grew up in the school photography industry, watching my parents build and operate their own school photography company. From the excitement of picture day to the joy of seeing families cherish their children's portraits, I was introduced at an early age to just how meaningful a single photograph can be.
​
While photography was always a part of my life, my professional journey took me down a few different paths before bringing me back to my roots. I began my career in property management, where I developed a strong foundation in customer service, organization, and building lasting relationships. I later transitioned into childcare, spending five wonderful years working directly with young children and discovering a true passion for early childhood education.
​
During those years, I learned that working with little ones takes so much more than patience. It takes creativity, compassion, flexibility, and the ability to make every child feel comfortable, confident, and celebrated.
​
Eventually, I realized that my two greatest passions — photography and working with children — were the perfect combination. And from that, Amazing Kids Photography was born in 2022.
​
Today, I've taken everything I've learned from growing up in the photography industry, my background in business, and my hands-on experience in childcare to create something I'm incredibly proud of.
​
My mission is to provide schools with a seamless, stress-free picture day experience while capturing beautiful, authentic portraits that reflect each child's unique personality. I understand firsthand how busy a school day can be, which is why my team and I work hard to make the entire process easy for directors, teachers, and families.

To me, Amazing Kids Photography is about so much more than school pictures. It's about preserving the little smiles, big personalities, and fleeting moments of childhood that families will treasure for a lifetime.

What started as a family tradition has become my passion and purpose, and I couldn't be more grateful for the opportunity to carry that legacy forward in my own way.

Beautiful Portraits, Simple Online Ordering
Following Picture Day, each image is carefully reviewed and professionally enhanced to ensure beautiful, high-quality portraits. Within approximately 48–72 hours, families receive access to their child's private, secure online gallery, where they can conveniently view and purchase their favorite images, digital downloads, and keepsakes from the comfort of home.
How Does Picture Day Work?
We understand that school directors have enough on their plates. That's why we've designed our process to be completely hands-off for your staff, providing a premium service that parents love and schools recommend.
Before Picture Day
We work directly with your school to coordinate dates, select photography scenes, and prepare parent communication materials. Your school provides a student roster with each child's name, classroom, and available parent or guardian email addresses. This allows us to organize individual galleries and streamline communication with families.
On Picture Day
Our team arrives early to set up a complete professional photography studio at your school. We work alongside your teachers to coordinate classrooms and ensure a smooth, organized experience from start to finish. Our advanced Picture Day system utilizes secure facial recognition technology to streamline photo identification and organization, allowing us to move quickly and efficiently while minimizing classroom disruptions. Throughout the process, our photographers take the time to make every child feel comfortable and encouraged, capturing a beautiful variety of natural expressions and genuine smiles.
After Picture Day
Each portrait is carefully reviewed and professionally enhanced before being uploaded to a private online gallery. Families are notified when their images are ready and can securely view and order their favorite photographs directly online. We handle the ordering process, allowing your school to enjoy the results without the administrative work.
